I figured this subject required a thread of its own.
I recently checked out what the meaning of the word Moses. According to most scholars, they believe the word moses came from egyptian roots meaning son, or child.
Having read most of your posts regarding christianity, this sparked a question for me. In the past I believe you have said "the story of jesus is the story of moses".(correct me if I misquoted you). According to you Jesus is the story of the jewish people(and Israel) that were crucified by the romans and resurrected into a new religion, christianity.
Now my question is, given that the name Moses means child or son, what religion or culture were they born out of?
Or was Moses the real deal?
What was the time period that the jewish religion was born?
This subject is a favorite of mine and have many questions.

Moses was drawn out of the water, and that is what his name means in Hebrew. Lol (slaps forehead) I should have known that... I just got that definition from dictionary.com... my bad... On a side note that lends itself to another many questions... but need to read the old testament again in full... been awhile, getting a little rusty. Was the "religion" of that time the belief of horus/osiris? Were they the gods that ruled before the time of the jewish patriarchs? I guess my question really should be was the jewish religion at all inspired from the egyptian gods horus/osiris? Aww... come on man!!! You're killing me here ;D Alright I'll try to steer away from there. Thats something I wanted to know. I just needed to know what timelines were right. I know this really isn't a nice segway into my next question but what the heck. I believe in the past you have said that the flood of Noah was real but it was not a worldwide flood. I think your words were that to the people living in the area, it seemed like a worldwide deluge. If it was real, how did it happen? What was the area where this took place?

During their long stay in Egypt the people who would be known as the Hebrews were immersed in the local traditions and beliefs of the Egyptians Milton swears he had nothing to do with it ;D But others of his rank did. Hello Sleeper, Why was the Nag Hammadi Library discovered in such a way with out any other texts excising for the most part in public knowledge? Hello Izz Public knowledge has always been controlled. We are fed truths by those who dispense truths of their choosing. Do you think anything has changed? Or will change concerning truth? None

You got me there. Aww come on!! Well all I can say then is a lot of the gospels are really "interesting". Right around the time I was reading them is when I rocked the ET turf boat. I wish I could discus them with some one but everyone still to this day considers them heresy. What's a forbidden apple eating man to do?

Sleeper, This is a very vague religious question so I figured I'd stick it here. Once we advance on the personal disclosure stick, will ET's become a common topic without all the negative talk? Will it strain/crumble the religious foundations we know today? Just curious as to how long it will probably be before ET's and UFO's aren't shunned as if they were the pink elephant sitting in the corner. Any chance we will make big strides by the time we start colonizing Mars?

Not anytime soon Religions will embrace the phenomena as did the Catholics recently. The only religions that will survive are those that have made zombies of their followers, and control their thoughts, movements and prayer time Awareness of renegades will increase, but not all of them will be viewed as negative beings.

Hello Sleeper, The story of Jesus is one of the most coolest things I have ever read. The guy (fact or fiction) was a cool dude. If I could sum up the story of Jesus in one word I would have to use the word integrity. I say this now because Jesus's main pet peeve was hypocrisy. I had a hard time understanding Integrity until the other day when I realized that the opposite of integrity is hypocrisy. This is really ground braking for me!! I mean you can take everything in life all our knowledge of laws even the ten commandments and sum it all up to.......... Hate, envy and ego (+)= Hypocrisy Hate, envy and ego (-)= Integrity Sleeper is hypocrisy the worst sin? Who are we really? We don't know do we? When a person does not know who he or she is we can lie or act as someone we are not or we can try to find out who we really are. Thats the choice we have. But I can't get over how foocken double-d**ned cool Jesus was!! Jesus would always talk and brake bread with prostitutes, thieves, and tax collectors. He would pat them on the head and tell them to sin no more but he would rip a hypocrite a new A-hole every time one came up. I could totally see the Cristian religion today chastising a man who says he is the son of god while all he does is hang out and talk to a bunch of homosexuals, prostitutes and satanists, pats them on the head and tells them "it OK just stop it" and then at the same time tells the pope that he needs to take of his gold crown, put on some humble cloth and actually preach the Gospels and that he better hurry before the cathedral in Rome splits in two....

Hello Sleeper,
Can you tell me more about the three holy ET's that are represented as the Father, son and the holy spirit?
What dose getting baptized represent? I get the whole rebirth and redemption aspect but is there any more to it? Is it a clue to the fact of reincarnation? Anything else? Why is it done in watter?
Did renegade ET's create man? If so I'm sure they did not create our souls but yet we have them we are the souls. Are renegade ET's mad at the fact that the human body's carry the breath of higher level benevolent ET's?
Are renegade ET's souls that stop growing? Do they fall in love with there high level bodies?
Is the renegade thing a matter of matter vs pixie dust? As in some souls don't want to leave the realm of matter to return to the other side?
Thanks in advance Sleeper.
