About a month ago I started hearing weird noises coming from Mother Earth. My computer is situated adjacent to a window that faces pretty much due south. First I heard faint tones similar to a hearing test but more like a big truck backing up... but from deep in the sky. After a series of these faint tones came the sound of a distant jet approaching. At first I was keeping a log but now it hardly ever stops. It seems to be earth's magnetic field is where the sounds are originating from, but I am only speculating. What sets my family apart from most normal households is that we do not have a forced air HVAC system. We use only radiant type heaters which cuts down on background noise a lot. My wife can't hear the tones because she has tinnitus. But the other noises she can hear loud and clear. I trust that she is not evil and simply furthering my delusions, but she is approaching menopause and I need YOU. We can faintly hear these sounds outside, but we live near an interstate and have big trees all around that block out too much. The window seems to act almost as a sort of receptor and picks up more of the vibrations? I wish I could be more technical. I would very much appreciate any feedback pertaining to whether or not any of you are able to hear such things from your location. I have lived here 16 years and I honed in on it immediately. Just for reference I'm in north central No. Carolina. Thanks in advance! Darrin

After a few glasses of wine, I decided perhaps I'd share similar experience I had that may relate to yours. One evening, I came home and my girlfriend was waiting for me in the car outside the house. (Near LAX in SoCal.) She said that she had been setting on the porch reading, overlooking the the sea. Their was a slight breeze, no air traffic, very quiet. Then all of a sudden, there was a crash at the front of the house. The garage door was shaking. Otherwise, the neighborhood was very quiet. Then, it happened again and she was convinced that the house was haunted. Over the years I lived there, 'the event' happened at any given time. The girl left and anyone else I pointed it out to either put it out of their mind or, left immediately after hearing it. I simply got used to it.(It's L.A., after all - poltergeists aren't entitled to special attention.) My theory was, that it was either a Banshee - one that was too scared to mess with me, other than the crashing phenomena. Or, their was a ridge stratum in just such a configuration where a large vehicle crossing the stratum a mile or so distant caused a harmonic vibration that hit the house. Nowadays' I would make it a point to find out exactly what was going on. But then, if there were no blood dripping phantasms appearing before me at dinner, it seemed like the least of my concerns. a little over a year ago, I noticed a low deep humming sound comming from outside, I live in a rural area in northeastern ca. and have lived here almost thirty years. My thought, maybe it's always been there and my sences are keener then they were before.......

Earth Sounds? ... what about the frequency some are reporting in one or more of there ears? I have had a high (i am sure its in the picahertz range) frequency in my right ear now for over 2 and a half years, no its not tinnitus, i have had it checked, its not audible during the day, unless i concentrate on it, but it is audible at night, although not annoying or troublesome. maya12-21-2012.com/2012forum/index.php?topic=2339.0

There was this episode of unsolved mysteries where a tonne of people have been hearing this deep low humming that nobody else can hear. Some people were only mildly affected and some hear it so loud that they can't function. They couldn't pinpoint what it was but some thought it was some magnetic operation the navy had conducted called operation (i cant remember) that was messing with the earths magnetic field or something.
