Eevee, I think how I have come to control my fear is simply identifying it. When I begin to feel the fear I identify it and then I have to be confident in knowing it is just part of the process and not to be worried. After all I have had these dreams for a while, recently being able to control them a bit, and nothing has ever happened to me that is detrimental to my physical health. So, to put it in shorter terms, just be confident, let the fear pass and know nothing is gonna hurt you. If it gets too intense you can always give into fear, but if you don't you'll be truly amazed at what happens next. Hello Esteay, Thanks for your advice on controlling the fear, I do try really hard to just relax, and not get too scared, I know that they can't hurt me, but sometimes it feels like the fear is forced upon me, if that makes sense? Also, in one recent lucid dream, when I "woke up" in the dream, and realised I was dreaming at first it was really cool, and I was excited. I didn't try to control the dream, I just tried to relax, and let it unfold. But I experienced this weird pulling sensation, I was being physically pulled around in the dream, and there was nothing I could do about it...that was when the fear started rising. Sleeper has said that sometimes we recall abduction events via dreams, days, weeks, months, years after the actual event which is kind of trippy. This is what Sleeper said in response to my space dream with the electric blue orb: "Earth is certainly not home, it is temporary quarters. Our dreams take us closer to our real home, which is light years from this solar system. Orbs are higher entities that scold us, encourage us, share secrets with us, or when necessary plant a firm boot to the backside. If we were perfect we would not be here, that is why many abductions are frightening, even those done in dreams" Maybe sometimes the fear is necessary?

Fear may be neccassary (?), it seems like the common denominator in most of the obe's I have recently been reading about. I think it may just be the fear of the unknow too. That can be very strong. The next time you identify as being in a dream, try to do something, like throw a snowball or energy ball or something out of you hand. Have you ever had a dream where your in a fight and you hit the person but your punch is super weak or you can'r throw it at all? Try to do the opposite, try and move something in your dream. I am coming to believe that everyone experiences obe. It's just that when they realize it they are in the middle of a dream. They don't experience the getting out or the getting slammed back in. I think being in control causes the obe to be much more vivid. Though I may be wrong because I have dreams too and they are nothing like my obe's, from start to finish, because I can remember everything. But I have practiced enough recently that I can control my dreams too. I think Lou may be onto something there.

Yeah, maybe I did the wrong thing by just trying to let events unfold, but I thought that if I tried to control the dream, I might wake up? Anyway, the dream was cut short, it was like a blank screen came down, the sound of the man talking to me faded away. Then I experienced this horrible sensation, like my brains were being sucked out of my head, I woke up with a bad headache. Next time I wake up in a dream, I will definitely try to do what you said about doing the opposite, and trying to control events. Thanks.

I will help if I can. I can only tell you what I do and what works for me, it might be different for you. And remember I haven't done a truck load of research either so there are probably some things that may work better for each individual. Thoudh my techniques work very well for me.

Just a thought, you guys. I have had one very lengthy, involved OBE. It happened to me years ago, when I was a young man. I also went through the progression of surprise to fear to control to elation. In it, I felt I "took control" from some force which was guiding me, and then having done so, led myself to a revelatory experience which had a major impact in my "waking" life. Years later, the memories of this are still intense, and I have spent many hours contemplating the meaning. What I think I have realized, after twenty years of thought about it, is that the fear I felt was the fear of myself, from the point of view of my ego. In other words, in some sort of way, the self who took control in the OBE was my soul, and the self which was my earthly ego resisted giving in to it, which I think was analogous to death. And, to make a complicated story simple, what I (soul) showed myself (ego) after I (ego) relinquished control, was a vision of peace and acceptance, as if my soul was saying, relax and realize that there is nothing to fear here on Earth. So as you face those fears in your OBE perhaps you should think of it less as something to overcome and more as something to release, as in giving up ego control in order to allow your access to your greater self. If you are pure of intention, then nothing can hurt you, so there is really nothing to fear, anyway. The fear is just a manifestation of earthly instincts which are irrelevant in a realm where you are as a god.

Very good post Grumble. Very nicely put. I too feel that when you overcome the fear it more of a release than an accomplishment, though it is hard to not feel accomplishment when you get over the fear. Did you ever have any other obe or encounters with UFO's or ET beings? Have you ever tried to induce an obe? I am just now starting to make progeress in this area of self induction.

I got out last night. It wasn't for very long and I didn't travel far. I was near one of the great lakes, actually over the water. Near a town of Geneva. I don't know the state yet, but am about to try and find it and make sure it is a real place. I didn't see any beings but I got information telling me that I can have anything and achieve anything through Omega. I have no idea what this means, if anyone has an idea please let me know.
Thanks, Esteay

I have researched geneva. It is a city in Ohio, near, but not bordering a great lake, which is odd seeing that I was clearly over a great lake and also told that I was over a great lake, so that part isn't adding up. As I read through the wiki definition of Geneva I am getting chills and excitement at the same time. Please read this wiki definition and tell me what you think of this. I don't know what to make of it. I have never been there or even close to there, never been to ohio, never ever heard of Geneva until last night, I am freaking out a bit. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geneva,_Ohio

I'll check that one out too. I found that after I looked at the map there is conflicting info in the wiki. One sentence says it is bordered on the north, west, and south by a certain county, but when you look at the map on the same page it shows it borders a great lake, maybe erie?

That's a very interesting perspective Grumble, it sounds like you had a very positive experience during, and after your obe. Are you able to tell us more about it? Wise words, I understand what you are saying about your intentions being pure, and about taking control over the situation, and the fear. During my blue orb/space dream though, I did not feel like I could have taken control, I felt very small, alone and humble in the face of that blue orb, but maybe I was meant to feel that way?

I haven't been able to get out, not even close the past few days. It is very frustrating. I have found the symbol for Omega, a leter in the greek alphabet, and can draw no correlation between it and the message sent to me in my most recent obe. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Omega this is the link for the symbol and defintion thereof. I'll be studying what this means for a while I am sure. If anyone can help or has a comment or idea please let me know.

I have been doing a lot of research on what I can about the omega information, which is very frustrating because I have no idea what direction to look or for that matter what information I am actually looking for. Hopefully when I find it it will all click. In the mean time here is a link to a video that has to do with omega, but it is more to do with the masons and the dollar bill and such. Maybe I am getting warmer but I am not sure. this one is the same as the first one, but it also contains a written message, IMO, it is better than the first link www.disclose.tv/action/viewvideo/7252/Old_World_Secrets_the_Omega_Project_Codes/

I have found something I believe. I don't know if this is what I am looking for, but it carries subtance for me. I typed Omega Theory in the yahoo search bar and a wiki definition came back for "Omega Point" I have to say that this very interesting to me. Please have a look at this and tell me what you think. P.S. I can't believe how much stuff there is on Omege. I though it was simply a greek letter in their alphabet. This makes me feel great because it is like I am confirming what happened in my obe! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Omega_Point_(Tipler)I don't know if any of this is true, but is facinating none the less.

I had a dream last night that was unlike any other I have had that I can recall. I remember every bit of this dream and it is a bit embarrasing to tell, but I will to see what you all think.
I was laying, asleep on a couch in the living room of my parents house, it was dark, maybe 2-3 in the morning. I realized that I was on the couch in their house and tried to awaken myself, but found that I was 100% paralyzed in my dream. I struggled to open my mouth and say anything and when I did, the words that came out were "Momma" Kind of garbled at first then I repeated it and it became clearer and clearer. As i was repeating "momma", calling for her to come and see that I was paralyzed and to try and help me, I could see my voice traveling through the house. It went to another room in their house which is quite large, like another living room but larger. My mother was laying on the couch in that room asleep. I continued to call out and eventually she woke up. I was so glad she had heard me, but I keprt calling out because I was still paralyzed. I could see her get up in the other room and begin walking to where I was laying. When she got about 10 feet from where I lay I went back into my body, per se. I mean I went back to my vantage point. I knew she was coming and I could sense here presence. She put her hand on my shoulder and instantly I woke up, I mean I really woke up. I was in my bedroom at my house and I had the feeling like I had been calling out "Momma" in my sleep at my house, in my room. It was like I was paralyzed needing help and she some how came and woke me. I don't know how else to explain it, but if I can find better terms I will share them.
It was embarassing because I kept yelling for my mom to come and help me, anyway.
